Hun Sen expresses strong commitment to serve country, citizens

King Norodom Sihamoni on Monday appointed Hun Sen as the Prime Minister for the fifth mandate of the inaugural session of parliament. Immediately after the broadcast of the appointment letter by the King, Hun Sen expressed his strong commitment to fulfill his duties as Prime Minister. “To the gratitude of the King who has appointed me as Prime Minister of Cambodia, I will work hard from my mind and heart to fulfill my tasks to serve the interest of the country and citizens,” Hun Sen said in a letter to the King. … The Cambodia National Rescue Party issued a statement criticizing the opening of the first session of parliament because only the elected lawmakers from the Cambodian People’s Party attended the session. …
